straight outta the LJ:

- Bukue One
- Zion I
- Haiku D'Etat (Abstract Rude, Aceyalone, Mikah 9)
- Del tha Funkee Homosapien

So last night me and the Hink went to the Social for Cali
Comm. We got there early as fuck and chilled outside.

The first first MC to take the stage was Bukue One. He was
pretty good. He did a freestyle about skateboarding. Good
opening act.

Next was Zion I. They were really really good. Their DJ had
a drum machine and made up beats on the spot. They got the
crowd movin' and busted some awesome freestyles. The beats
were all bad as fuck. They had an amazing stage presence,
they did a warp speed freestyle until the BPM was too high
and they collapsed. Then they got up for a few more tracks.

After Zion I, Aceyalone of Haiku D'Etat took the stage and
started their set with "Firecracker". Then Mikah 9 and
Abstract Rude took the stage for their verses. They played
for about an hour and a half. They did stuff as Haiku D'Etat
then each of them took the stage for one of their own solo
tracks. Lots of freestyling as well, Mikah 9 was badass.

By the time Haiku D'Etat was done I was more than ready for
Del to take the stage. He took the stage with some member of
the Hieroglyphics crew who I didn't recognize. They started
off with "At the Helm" which is a Del/Heiro gem that I
almost completely forgot about. That was a really good way
to start off. Then he busted into "Mistadobalina" which is
another one I wanted to hear live. After that he went into
"Virus" and I just about had an orgasm. This confrimed that
Deltron 3030 shit would be played at the show. After "Virus"
Opio from Souls of Mischeif took the stage. He joined Del to
do a few tracks from Full Circle. So yeah, I was hearing
lots of stuff I wanted to hear. Next was the ode to video
games "Proto Culture". Opio left and some freestyling went
down. After that Del played "If You Must" the left the
stage. For an encore he played "Clint Eastwood" (the
Gorillaz song) which was about the last thing I was
