I have heavily relistening to The Doors for the past month or so, and my god, they've never sounded better! The End really is a fantastic track! and Peace Frog makes me jitter-jive everytime I hear it! Although they did a few stinkers, their best stuff is so fantastic! The percussion on some of their later albums is so nice!

It was only by listening to The End thru headphones that I realised Morrison is moaning "Fuck me baby" in the second half of the song :D

Have you also noted that there are two lines from "end of the night" which are actually by William Blake, who wrote the lines "the doors of perception" which Aldous Huxley used and so did.. The Doors.

yeah fucking great stuff. You guys knew about Mr. Mojo Risin being an anagram for "Jim Morrison", right? Just move the letters around....
ah-Keep your eyes on the road and your hand upon the whee-heel we're going to the roadhouse, gonna have a real-ah ... good time!
Nice. In the movie too, the part where Pam asks Jim "where he's going" and it shows him walking away from the camera in the desert is actually footage of the real Jim Morrison.

come on, come on, come on, now and touch me babe! i like this track simply because its a very simply track but sounds very big, and i especially like the diff instruments mixed in with the classic doors sound.

I love John Densmore. And I have a lot in common with Robbie Krieger, in that we both play guitar without picks, but still not quite finger-style. So they really appeal to me, instrumentally.
The Doors are awesome. It's in vogue to diss them nowadays, but Jim had spunk.
Not to touch the EARRRTH, not to see the SUUUUN, nuthin' left to DOOO but ruuun, ruuun, ruuun, let's run... let's run... my favorite Doors song.

I used to have all their CDs are Virgin Megastore had them on sale for £6.99 about 12 years ago... then I lost them all! But now I have them all in mp3 format, hurrah!! I went off them for a few years, but listening to them recently has really rocked!
