Depends on what yu call techno.. If yu think about the generic term, yes. (Like Jazz for acid or free jazz) But hardcore is slightly different than dance music as breakcore is different from hardcore. not just techno... |

I could say the same thing as yu about jungle and drum and bass for example. "Why do they call that d&b? It's almost the same as jungle... " yu know, ther's a lot of difference between breakcore and hardcore. in most hardcore tracks, when a break appear it's quite a repetating loop. In breakcore, It's more like crazy sequenced breaks and dizzy structure. It's a tiny difference maybe, but it's a difference anyway. |

I don't know the difference between Drum N Bass & Jungle either, which is funny, because that's what got me into electronic music. Hardcore electronic music is awful, by the way, how dare you desecrate these message boards with links to your bass-bass-bass-bass crap. |

We are different. I love Aphx twn as i love Nasenbluten. I dare post a topic like this cuz i dare think that people got open minds. There's thousand more commercial shit in all techno musik, than in all hardcore music. i think "hardcore", cuz there's fucking good pieces of art in this music. hardcore is not robert miles, Robert miles will never be Hardcore And I'll stay a Hardcore Motherfucker, 'till i die. breakcore is a denomination it's not a name i've found, and it's different from hardcore cuz there's a fucking difference. People that talk without knowin', and don't even want to hear the difference better go back and buy Kylie minogue's cd. when yu don't know, yu kut the krap, yu don't read the topic, yu click on yer start button, yu stop yer machine, yu take a glass of watter, and yu throw it on yer pc. I agrre with Kalaim Badkaama, I love Aphex as I love UnitedSpeedcoreNation: Techno is a HUGE family: from poptrance to extreme brokennoize. You can't love them all probably but please dont be so limited to say that they Sux.. they don't. And dont even dare to say techno is "commercial".
