SAWII

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-28 01:56 [#00075466]

I've read that a lot of people love SAWII, but how many
people love every track, or even with the exception of one
or two or so?

JOB on 2002-01-28 01:58 [#00075467]

i dont love every track.

Korben Dallas from nz on 2002-01-28 02:02 [#00075470]

i guess?

it never really occured to me to listen to the tracks
individually - i've always stuck on either disc one or two
and just pushed play ?! some tracks are better than others -
but not to the extent of changing tracks.

LeMoN on 2002-01-28 02:16 [#00075474]

I love all the tracks, except like 3 of them...from my
memory, I can recall that I dislike the second last track of
disk 1, track 3 of disk 2, and the second last of disk 2 i
dont really dislike, i find it a disturbing track, but it
just doesnt work too well, the last minute or so shoulda
been more a part of the overall song...

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2002-01-28 02:21 [#00075478]

I love every track, with no exceptions.

Actually, SAW2 is the most played album on my Winamp (heh)
lately.

Rhubarb, Lichen, Hankie, Tree, Stone in Focus, these are the
REAL stand outs for me. Rhubarb in particular is the
greatest track I've ever heard by an artist not named
Lennon.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2002-01-28 02:24 [#00075480]

I love all the SAWII tracks.

Mutant Death Pengwin from Medicine Hat on 2002-01-28 02:30 [#00075482]

i love every single track on saw ii. each track is nothing
short of fantastic.

Xanatos from NYC on 2002-01-28 05:27 [#00075560]

I only listen to:

Cliffs
Rhubarb
Weathered Stone
Stone in Focus
z twig
Hexagon
Lichen

you're not alone!

titsworth_couirer from washington, dc on 2002-01-28 06:07 [#00075567]

i love every track but sometimes i skip one of the tracks
toward the end that's 11 minutes long (the one with
laughter) and the drone track before or after it.

LeMoN on 2002-01-28 06:11 [#00075568]

aww cmon, the drone one is one of the best!!!

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-28 18:24 [#00075708]

I'm still trying to fully get into it... I like most, but
some are just annoying right now...

george from japan on 2002-01-28 19:12 [#00075715]

titsworth_couirer, track 12 is not at all a drone track. it
sounds like manipulated strings. nothing droney about it.
if you want to hear drones check out la monte young, brian
lustmord, and robert rich.

eXXailon from NL on 2002-01-28 21:09 [#00075736]

I love Cliffs, Radiator, Rhubarb, Tree and Curtains. They
make me cry :)

eXXailon from NL on 2002-01-28 21:11 [#00075738]

oh yeah and Hankie as well. I don't remember disc 2 very
good. I got SAWII only three days ago

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-28 21:34 [#00075752]

it's pretty damn hard to get into, especially if it's your
first encounter with pure ambient music (it's mine)... some
of it is great, but some of it, I dunno...

grinningcat on 2002-01-29 00:51 [#00075797]

i like nearly every other track.

but id buy both Cd's just for 'Cliff' and 'rhubarb'

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-29 02:49 [#00075907]

I love some of the tracks, but for me, if I want some good
down tempo, relaxing music, I'll put on Sigur Ros, or Boards
of Canada... SAWII is more disturbing anyways, but some of
the songs are just annoying...

LeMoN on 2002-01-29 04:26 [#00075932]

Radiator is another gorgeous track, most people find it
annoying, I adore it.

Maytag from Durham,NH USA on 2002-01-29 07:47 [#00075962]

Radiator has voices throughout the track that sound muffled
and undiscernable. They sound like the voices from another
room sound when heard through an ajoining radiator.

doki from grmny on 2002-01-29 08:26 [#00075967]

depends on mood for me - i just can´t listen to all of them
sometimes ... sometimes when i´m really chilling on the
album there is a track that disturbs the atmosphere ... but
i love all of ´em!

crìk pòt from crìk pòt on 2002-01-29 10:18 [#00075974]

"Radiator" reminds me of the movie "Alien", i see aliens
climbing around in the ventilation systems of the nostromo
listening to humans.

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2002-01-29 16:11 [#00076028]

The thing I love most about SAW 2 is the images if brings up
in my head... and some of them are fucked up. NONE of them
are happy or accessible, that album messes me around.
