any mac users?

Blair from seattle on 2002-01-27 20:51 [#00075381]

I just ordered my new imac, and was wondering if anyone here
was a mac user. I've been using a pc for a long time and
this will be my first mac. What I was wondering was what
programs people use to download music and warez. I've been
using kazaa, but that is not available for macs. Can anyone
out there help me?

I use a mac. I have the G4 Tower, not the cube but the
tower, tis' more powerful. Its upgraded too. Got the
flatcreen 19" moniter, scanner, photo printer, isub and
isoundsticks, awsome shit.

I use Limewire, if set up properly you can acess lots of
stuff through it.

Limewire

Audiogalaxy [look for Mac Satellite on versiontracker.com] -
But it has recently packed up on me, ie. won't log in
properly ?

Oh and Reflex, what do I gotta do to get stuff on Limewire -
I can't find much on there ?!

check out versiontracker.com, it's a pretty good resource
for finding freeware and shareware. there are lots of random
peer-to-peer file sharing clients available there, altho
limewire does seem to be the most used.

Korben Dallas: go to your options and select what sort of
user you are, if your a fast connection then just set it to
a T3 line, I only have a cable connection but if you just
lie and do it anyway you can open up many connections. So
then when you are done that, save/apply the change, go to
your "Connections" area there and set connections to about
25. Let it load for a bit and youll have all you need.

I have been a mac user for 13 years, best "file sharing app"
I think for mac is hotline, there is a program floating
around that is kinda like kazaa where you can share movies
and mp3 and the like, but I forgot the name. Check out
http://freaky.staticusers.net/
