don't listen if you don't want to, pretty simple.

tonight i'm playing brand new music from mos def, talib
kweli, luke vibert, and blues explosion, oldies from tricky,
mr. bungle, the beatles, the clash, and run-dmc, somewhat
rare tracks from hood, dice raw, and squarepusher, plus
autechre, dead prez, saul williams, the roots, lcd
soundsystem, etc. the 2nd hour of the show has sort of a
focus on beatmakers (rjd2, alchemist, just blaze, dj shadow,
rick rubin).

begins in 30 minutes, at 10 PM EST (3 AM in the UK), ends 2
hours later

posting from the staff room quickly.. dunno what's going on
w/ the mac in the booth but thanks to all listening!

btw i thought i would be talking over the slick rick
"frozen" instrumental.. i put the 12" on the wrong track so
you heard a live version of "la di da di" w/ doug e. fresh,
which is also good.

mr. bungle.... i need to play more of that

the Alarm Will Sound collective (very cool bunch.. think
godspeed meets brian setzer orchestra, doing avant garde
classical works by people like lygetti and reich) did these
amazing aphex twin covers 2 weeks ago at my school.. "cock
ver/10" was by far the best. i was impressed they not only
did the "come on you cunts let's have some aphex acid!"
part, they all stopped perfectly and screamed it into
megaphones!

lcd soundsystem IS the truth...

sorry i don't have the cd or vinyl! i don't even know that
mf doom song. is it one of his newest or an older one?

glad no one's complaining about this song, it's kind of a
hard sell to some people on here given past threads but i
love this album and this is a great song.

i thought you would pick up on my idiotic humor - it's
totally against the vibe of your show. i doubt you'll like
them, but good luck!

do you ever have live music at that station?

not as far as i know. it's a very small studio. i think
maybe some kids have played an acoustic guitar but no one
professional has played live here i'm sure.

actually, i was strongly considered putting some hard rock
after the jay-z song because of the rick rubin guitar usage.
in the end i went with nas but it could've easily been
something brutal because that song ("99 problems") is pretty
hard hitting IMO!

anyway show's over, thanks for listening. it's been kind of
scattershot because of technical difficulties but i had fun.
i'll post the playlist in a few minutes.
