stuff is starting to come back to me from a music-event-thingie I was at on saturday... it lasted from 18 to 5, and there were lots of great artists... Kim Hiorthøy was there, but I didn't go, 'cause someone had convinced me he did noise live.. I'm pretty sure they were right, anyway. However, one of the bands I DID see was Uusi Fantasia, and it was fucking amazing! I walked into the main stage at "Grieghallen" (a concert thingie here in Bergen), and they were playing what sounded like a crazy remix of one of Aphex' songs.. while the main part of Uusi Fantasia are only two people, there were three more people with them on stage.. one with a trombone, one with an electric violin and one with drum-pads.. after a while they played something that was a COMPLETE rip-off of one of our old Krampe songs (same synth, melody, phrasing and I'm almost certain it was the same BPM even), but that just made it so much better for us.. we laughed so hard at them; playing our old songs... however, we've never put the song on the web, so they'd have to have broken into the other Krampes house and stolen the song from his comp... that's beside the point.. they did good music.. found some samples , but they are nothing like the live version! |

I think the aphex song is on SAW, but I'll be damned if I can remember which one... it sounded pretty cool with electric violin pizzicato/banjo-ish playing on! |

yeah, I tried ordering earlier, but they just said that they didn't have it even though it was on their page... I'll try again... btw: have you heard "For the ladies?" to me it sounds mostly like background-noise, like he uses every so often at the beginning of his songs... |
