i was at my friends house trying out the game, it is so
difficult. i couldn't get pass the 2nd boss. i'm sure after
lots of practice i could eventually pass the 2nd chapter. my
friend thinks it not all that great of a game, but i found
it to be quite entertaining. i love games that make you test
your reaction time. i definitely would recommend this game.

It's a great game but I still can't beat after 4 months of
owning it. It's very addictive, if you're into these types
of games. Black/White/Shoot/Dodge.

i'm thinking of buying it. i love the designs of the
spaceships, and yes i agree the gameplay is highly
addictive!

There's gameplay of people getting crazy combos around the
net. Don't ask me where, I've seen them here and there.
Treasure makes the highest quality games ever.

I can get up to, and almost defeat the last boss before I
run out of continues, but I play these type of games a lot..

i usually die at the "circular" part in level 4... i haven't
figured out how to pass it yet if there's a special method,
well i did pass it two or three times but i had like 7, 8 or
9 continues...

and i never managed to beat the level 3 boss (you get to the
next level when the boss time countdown is over, even if you
haven't beat it).

but yes, splendid game.
i also got Gradius V some days ago, maybe not as great as
Ikaruga but very very good still.. (and difficult as well!!)

my brother and a friend of his beat it too but with "free
play" (you get this after you got the 9th continue, it means
infinite continues).... but since you re-appear exactly at
the place you died, ANYONE can finish the game in freeplay,
just even leave the paddle and go drink a cup of coffee and
about some time you'll see the ending i guess : /

free play sucks
it kills the game

when i got it, i erased the Ikaruga file from my memory card
to start it again...

I refuse to use freeplay, even though I've been *that*
close to finishing it

I could not do this game. You need the reaction time of a
super-japanoid gaming expert.
