it happened to me...i found out while watching/listening
warp vids. i didn't really like antipop consortium and jamie
lidell, although i bought their records when they were
released...but could never really get into them. a part of
it is coz my taste in music changed a bit, but a partly
thanks also goes to those fantastic vids.
same thing with gob coitus...i dislike clark very much but
that vid and song are awesome.

totally yes. The Gantz Graf video is a perfect example. It
changed my way how to experience the music. For a bit, it
'leads' the music..

absolutely. apologies the radiohead reference in your thread
:) but when i first heard 'no surprises' i thought "how
average", then when i saw the video with the music it
changed the way i thought about it completely. this is the
most poignant example but it has happened to me many times.
why else would mtv exist?

I was watching the Karma Police video when I first warmed to
Radiohead, but I don't know if that was because of the video

most fatboy slim videos seem clever, so you get the album
and then realize the man has a career because of spike

uzim, very true, but i don't watch any videos except for dvd
ones and i usually like those :)
