My very first album by mr waits. And coincidentally, my new
favourite album. This is amazing. Somewhere between van
vliet, nick cave and leadbelly, but better than all of them.
Really. Fucking. Amazing.

1983, according to the sleeve. I only bought it today, but
it's weird how "timeless" it sounds. I'll look out for "real
gone", i know it's gotten some very good reviews.

maybe download 'hoist that rag'. the track contains much of
the feeling of the entire thing.
