P Diddy and kr3w are pushing and traveling around hte
country; registering voters ... no matter who they are.

Just "omg look how many registered voters we have signed
up!"

Ok, so what?

Finally, someone with some fucking BRAINS came out and said
the truth (Matt and Trey from South Park / World Police
movie)

basically, having uninformed people voting is worse than
having them not vote at all....they should be getting people
educated on the subjects, then voting...not just saying
"here, one more person to vote who has no fuckin idea what
is going wrong"

anyone agree with this? I sure as hell do.

Yes. This is why I think only white males who own property
should be allowed to vote.

P diddy is just driving around in his big ass VOTE OR DIE
tour bus signing up all sorts of people off the street. Of
course, the have no fucking idea whats going on "truely",
and im sure many of them could give a shits less...

...and they're prolly like "oh well who should i vote for"

and big ol' P DIDDY is prolly telling them, Kerry (or Bush,
I don't know) .... but probably Kerry.

Isn't that fucked up? Who knows how many votes he's
getting.

Well I guess that's fine because both parties do this; it's
just kinda fucked up to see him act like he's doing "his
part" by getting people to VOTE, OR DIe!!!! when their vote
is still stupid because they don't know what they are truely
voting for.

sheesh!

In the famous words of P DIDDY
"uh take that, uh take that"

I don't know what people are being signed up, but everyone
has a vote, that's democracy, if you don't like it join an
armed militia. And maybe these people, if they are suffering
from social deprivation, lack of resources, lack of
employment, racial issues etc may know a bit more about
what's "truely" going on than some overprivileged network
engineer who, despite being unable to string a coherent
sentence together, has set himself up as the last remaining
defender of the free west.

dog_belch,

I think you are missing the point.
What good is a vote if it is an uneducated one?

What if all these voters P DIDDY is signing up are going to
vote for Bush "just for the hell of it" cause they don't
care and they don'tk now what's going on

Then what?

Lest ye forget, EVERYONE in america is entitled to vote, no
matter how "uneducated" you consider them. This is
democracy.

I understand their right to vote.

That's not what I'm arguing here......

I'm trying to debate between whether it is better for an
uninformed / uneducated person to vote and basically "guess"
or pick-and-choose, vs not voting at all,

I'm a firm believer in everyone voting, and getting out and
voting, but this is quite an abstract way to look at it that
I haven't done before, and jsut wanted to see what you guys
thought.

If you consider the USA to be a true democracy, then the
closer the vote-count to 100% of the population the better,
right?. Uninformed / uneducated / whatever... maybe you
should blame a rather biased media system for their supposed
ignorance... i dunno.

Also: "Uneducated" is a very subjective term, to be
honest... how do you know these people are "uneducated", as
you put it?

Well, don't put me too far into this.

I'm just toying with the idea and doing some thinking about
it.

I fully agree that everyone should vote.

I have a lot of friends who say "im not voting, my vote
doesn't count" and i've actually gotten into fights with
temabout it cause it just pisses me off.

well, if you believe everyone should vote, it doesn't really
matter how they come to do so, just as long as what they
vote for is their own choice, how badly educated they may be
about the candidates and their programs.

I wish I knew what you were on about. You can't understand
people being encouraged to vote? That's because you're a
fascist with a view that some people are subhuman and should
have their fundamental rights taken away in case they
disagree with you. Now ask us another one.

I FUCKING CAN ENCOURAGE IT

IM TRYING TO SPART A DISCUSSING ON WHETHER VOTEING (i.e.,
just picking one, if yer uneducated / have no idea what each
person stands for) OR NOT VOTING AT ALL.

WHY CAN'T YOU GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD.
how many posts have this taken now?

well read the first post again.

i am kinda torn between this. one point i can agree with
it, others i cant (from previous experience).

so im kinda tyring to spark some talk about it, but looking
at the last 10posts its not gnona happen.

Well maybe people should have a test before they vote, what
is Bush's far right christian businessman appeasing view on
abortion? What is Kerry's far right christian businessman
appeasing view on tax breaks for billionaires. If you don't
get it right your vote is void.

no sense saying "it's not gonna happen", there isn't much to
be discussed.

As for the "idea" you propose, i would say that in a
democracy it doesn't matter how one person considers the
citizens, they all have an equal right to vote, no matter
how they are encouraged etc. I think the issue of whether
it's "useful for our free nation" is irrelevant to be
honest.

I guess the logic behind registering EVERYBODY is that even
folks that are semi-retarded or have been frozen in a block
of ice for the last 4 years will come to the realization
that George Bush is the biggest piece of shit ever to put on
cowboy boots and vote accordingly

so everybody should be urged to vote
