Jacques Derrida has died

I didn't realise until today. I was just talking to my
Deconstruction professor and he mentioned some anecdote
about Derrida in an obituary. Noticing my astonishment he
told me that he died on Friday.

It was such a thrill reading the incredible philosophy he
wrote knowing that he was still around. People seem to think
of philosophy as a dinosaur.

Here's to you Derrida.
Rest in peace.

He's probably having a whale of a time up in heaven with
superman

Do you think that Christopher Reeve was disabled or just
very, very lazy?

I still think Christopher Reeve should have turned into an
evil world villain with missiles in his wheel chair

That would have been so cool

I think the heart attack story is bogus. He really died in a
missile equipped wheelchair duel with Stephen Hawking.

now that he's dead, it'd be nice for people to revisit his
ideas, and find the elements of possibility and redemption
that seem so prevalent in a lot of his seminal work... (as
opposed to being so discouraged by his tossing conventional
meaning out the window that they think he's basically
condemning everything)
