Hehe, it's funny, but it's also a bit depressing. There's a
lot of truth in the good doctor's latest.

i often feel as though people are *actually doing* this sort
of maneuvering when conversing. it's as though they think
everything is some sort of contest.

spooky.

"Once you’ve picked your cult hero, the only thing left to
do is bring him up in every single music conversation.
Compare every other artist unfavorably to your hero. Lament
the fact that your hero has “lost it” and “will
probably never get it back,” but express your opinion that
his early body of work is enough to counterbalance any
mediocre material he may have released later. Your hero is
the only one who ever really got it right, and as long as
you live you’ll never see another artist like him."

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

this gentleman manages to bring the worst of ANY music genre
into bad taste to leave the fan... left in a limbo of
self-questioning.

sad. here's a guideline to anyone who doesn't feel
comfortable with being themselves....

ha ha this was a good belly laugh had silently so as not to
piss off my sleeping girlfriend... it was also a good
ball-my-eyes-out-silently so as not to get salty tears all
over my keyboard...

A shame really. I'm very protective of my musical tastes and
go out of my way NOT to talk about it cause I don't want to
look like some douche who thinks he's superior. But that
makes me lonely cause I can't talk to anyone outside of here
about music I genuinely like. Unfortuntely, pretentious
snobs and humble music lovers share enough qualites to make
it hard for the average person to distinguish between the
two. :(

Very good hehe!

And on internet forums you can be a grand wizard of musical
knowledge . Just google anything anyone brings up and in
minutes you know all their back catalouge etc.. Youv'e been
listening to them for years haha!
