no not yet, seen the trailer and it does look impressive but i've been waiting a LONG time to see 2046, he's been making it for something like 4 years... he's such a perfectionist, he's the Trent Reznor of movies :)

he's good yeah. in the mood for love is basically a blueprint for lost in translation.
i'm a cyberpunk geek so i've always liked ghost in the shell, and innocence is just an amazing movie, visually and in its ideas. my only complaint is that, like the first one, the characters all speak in philosophical theories and there isn't any real dialogue, but the visuals more than make up for that.

pantalaimon, is there any cool cinemas round here that show this stuff? The only interesting one I know of is the Electric in brum centre.

the UGC on Broad Street is the only one that shows anything non-mainstream, the Electric hasn't opened up yet has it?
Expect only UGC to be showing those films I mentioned,

Yeah I need to go and see Merchant of Venice at UCG Broad Street soon for college, only place that's showing it as far as I know.

The New World
Sin City
I didn't care for The Isle that much. Don't know about Detroit, but Primer has already come and gone through Seattle. I'm disappointed I missed it, but $10 bucks for a 70 minute movie is a bit steep. That's like 40 pints of PBR on $.25 Sunday's at Noc Noc.

Primer was pretty cool. I saw it at the Chicago Film Festival with Director Q&A afterward.
