Kelpe - Sea Inside Body (BoC clone)

if you like BoC, Freescha, Christ and Ten and Tracer you
should check this release

I was amazed about this the first time I heard it

"A mind and genre-bending album taking the warm and
emotive electronics of the Warp/Morr Music school to its
most psychedelic extreme. “Sea Inside Body” is full of
beautifully crisp glitched-up beats, edits, midtempo flows,
head nodding burners and beatless soundtracks to public
library narratives. Fans of Boards Of Canada, take note...
this one is beautiful!"

Im not joking about this one, if you care about Boards of
Canada you should care about Kelpe aswell

it should fit in the empty space between now and the new
BoC

Haven't found the mp3's, but checked the samples at Boomkat.
I think BoC-clone describes it very well, but the clips was
kinda boring imo

Oh yes. I bought it. Both the LP and EP.

Although i prefer their EP "The People Are Trying To Sleep",
"Sea Inside Body" was a very warm welcome to my collection.
It has been in my record player for days.

Very nice melodies, beats are subtil and good. If this
actually was BoC i could believe in that.

recommended!

this album is probably one of my favourite releases of 2004;
it's brilliant, and the songs are engineered in a way where
although you like it at first, there's further complex
elements that allow for quite a bit of relistening. i've
probably listened to the album a good 15 times straight, and
it's a completely different experience each time. wow.

i'm definitely buying it, but i agree with what tolstoyed
said - there's only 128kbit rips. anybody got anything
higher (on slsk)? i'm positive this album will be even more
enjoyable with further clarity.

btw, some describe this as a boc clone. i don't; they're
definitely unique, although there are some boc'ish elements.

every new artist in melodic synthetic 'ambient' sort of
music is always being related to BoC first.
But what the hell, it's about the music. If it's good, it's
good...

Kelpe is one of the best new artists i discovered in 2004.
