Can you RDJ, can you look at Woofer's avatar, with him
sitting there with his Burger King hat on and puppy dog eyes
(behind shades) pleading for a new album. Could you
disappoint him, AGAIN? Have you no heart?

I'd like a Richard D James album II with all the tracks he
didn't selected for the first opus... could be great (better
than smojphace at last).

i'd rather get some fine & short releases than a 80 minutes
cd, as boring as most of today's electronica ; i love
smojphace as well (ok the ktpa are hardcore but the bug
remix is wked)

offline Combo from Sex on 2004-10-07 09:33 [#01355588]

yeah, a RDJA II could be good (35 minutes).

IN FACT i think what is missing in today's electronica are
EPs, good EPs like autechre did in the past...

What seems to be missing in todays electronic music world is
musicians like AFX and Autechre releasing anything. They
used to have a new EP is seemed every few months and now
shit. Maybe they ran out of ideas or there old equipment
broke and computers are evil. Maybe maybe maybe. If these
Analord records turn out to suck or are not RDJ I'll be
pissed. I'll just have to pretend some of the old EP's are
new and get over it. :(

yes but see all the good trx autechre did release in 2003
(draft, iss isa, dual purpose2, spangle, hafler trio
remixes, various trx on compilation), they're not dry yet!

I think the problem is yourself. Look at the comparably
large amount of material these people have released. It's
got to wind down after 10+ years, no doubt. And now, if
you don't think anything good is coming out, it's just
because you don't know what's coming up, you don't have the
leisure of looking back and making a more qualitative
judgement on what's up-and-coming. It's just a closed
minded mentality, and it's dwelling in the past is all it
is. Time moves on.

Fuck knows I am. Fuck the future, it stinks of piss and
murder, bring it all back.
