i was looking at cooleditpro, and decided i want it. but its so damn expensive. and cooledit2000 only has 4-track recording, and that's not enough. does anyone own either of these? and if you do, could you tell me if they are worth the price? does anyone have any suggestions for a cheaper (but still good quality) alternative?

Cooleditpro is wicked
I didn't pay for it, but it more than made up for its d/l time.
I think if I had the cash I would pay for it...

i use cool edit pro and fruityloops. as well as a little hardware. but i can say i would pay for cool edit pro if i had to(but i didnt have to). im not sure of the cost of it but it has been the absolute most valuble sound editing tool ive had or tried(tried ALOT of demos).
