meh. it's okay. sounds a bit too much like "turn on the
bright lights" for my taste.

"evil" is an excellent track though.

bought antics on friday. listened to it almost all the

i appreciate the norway references they make (take you on a

It's pretty cool, but I definitely like Turn on the Bright
Lights a lot more. The hooks were of a higher quality, and
they were a bit fresher. There's nothing too new about
Antics. But it's still pretty good, I love A Time to Be So
Small (old as it is).

It's funny because, I had heard 'Turn on the bright lights'
when it came out and it never really did anything for me.
but when i got 'Antics' about 3 months ago, it really seeped
in and now i've been obsessively listening to it at least
once a day or more, every day for the last 3 months.

but it has also increased my appreciation for 'TOtBL' which
i have been listening to more lately.

i've had this one for a few months and it's good. i think
that "turn on the bright lights" is better though.

I'd soonerr have a same-ish second album than, as most often
happens, a fucking shit one.

progression or bust!

Often it's not a prrogrression, just a waste of my money.

I can agree with that, but I'd sooner a nice progression
than a nice stagnation! But I guess sometimes it's better to
play it safe. Interpol don't strike me as particularly
talented musicians, so maybe this is for the best. They do
what they do and they do it well. And fuck me, they're well
dressed.

Yeah, naturrally I'd like a nice prrogrression rratherr than
a nice stagnation, don't get me wrrong. You know what I
mean.

that is my exactly feeling too man... I don't really
consider progression when I try and determine whether an
album is good... it just either sounds good to me or not...

Oh man, my roommate got this when it came out and he was
playing it for a while. How fucking obnoxious! Whew, good
thing he realised it wasn't very good and doesn't play it
anymore.

i think that the second album is shows a bit of progression.
the tracks are funkier like more funk-punk, less goth-funk.
the guitars are crisper, less distorted too. the
production value as a whole sounds cleaner to me. i
actually prefer the new one over the old one. but i've
already spoken of this!

Bullshit Joy Division rip-offs - Pulling a bad Ian Curtis
impersonation.

it sounds nothing like bright lights, which really threw me
off at first, but i'm slowly getting into it.
