In an interview with a Norwegian music magazine, electronic
artist Per Martinsen (Mental Overdrive, illumination, etc)
claims that "Come To Daddy" have sold over 800.000 copies
worldwide. Can this be correct?

Mute. With that sexy-looking, noise-making Annie on the
cover

could be, remember it's 7+ years old now and had more than
enough marketing associated to make it well known to every
cool kid listening to anything from gabber to pop :D

I checked out discogs.com, and noticed that about 1200 have
this Item in their collection. That's a lot. And when I
think about it, many friends of me, not particulary
intrestet in alternative electronica, have only this release
by AT

@mortsto
800.000 is really much for an Album like this.....
But i think it could be a real number...i also know much
people having/had this one at home (they all didn't heard
and still don't hear electronic music)....and i also can
remember that 6 years before....my best friend started to
hear the aphex stuff.....and everybody wanted that stuff
then.

Its meant completely isnt it ?? CD, LP, etc.

Yep. Martinsen's point is that Warp has maintained this
"underground profile", even though it hardly is

I wouldn't be surprised if RDJ put about that figure, in
which case I wouldn't be surprised if it was complete
bollocks.
