it's good, i like the melodies, nice n catchy. but the overall simplicity of the instruments left a little to be desired, basically its a good tune but sounds a little dated. |

so you all like it, but you think it isn't all that great....it's kinda weird since i think it's one of my greater tracks... I have really had a rather pleasant experience by being away from the board, and having my friends to listen instead of posting tracks here. They are more open-minded, and sees the music from a 'non-idm'-perspective...you guys always listen to it compared to what you like...it's ok, 'cause I do it myself, but it's difficult for me to get a reply that works for me...a non-idm reply could be "wow!", while a idm-listener would say "boooring!"...it's just funny how that works... |

I don't think this is very fair to the people that take time to listen to your music. maybe your friends are not more openminded, but have just heard less, thereby not being able to hear that it may be very derivative (I have no idea, btw, I haven't listened). also, they're your friends. however hard you try, it's very hard not to curb your judgements because of that. |

i'm not saying people should stop giving me oppinions...or stop listening...and i'm really appreciating when people do. I'm just saying that people that haven't heard idm, friends or not, give a totally different, but still constructive, review. |

it's too short - but it's a demo, so it's okay. I like that noisy sound, which starts at 0:45 or 0:46 i didn't like the melody, because melodies seem boring to me today, this just depends on mood. |

Hmm.. good shit! I liked the sudden stereo-spreads of the different instruments and stuff, but up until the distortion the track sounds empty because it isn't wide stereo... however, I think you meant for it to be like that, so... |

No, i don'T think that is strictly true. I don't only listen to idm, and i certainly don't compare it to that. I can just tell it needs a little more, it is definately a good start but i feel that needs something else just to give it a fuller sound. Anyway though... Good luck with the cd. : ) |

hehe...i'm not dissing idm-listeners here, i'm saying IF you NEVER heard aphex, squarepusher or autechre etc., you'd probly be more likely to be amazed by less complex things, right? I will finish this demo some day...i'll promise :) |

it's all because I have no decent monitors :( I borrowed some pimp-ass studio-monitor headphones a couple of weeks ago, and that helped me a lot...this track is made after that, so I haven't gotten into the stereo-feel...but now that you mention it, it might be one of those things missing on this track :) |
