Apologies if this has already been discussed; didn't see
it/couldn't search.

Anyway, "Catalogue 3" and "Hooper Bay" are listed on
GEMM.com right now at $100 each on cassette from a seller
named Dotmusik.

Does anybody think it's legit?

you just know that IF you actually would receive them, your
cassetteplayer would eat the tapes first time you tried
playing them.

I really like Boards, but $100 is a bit too much

I'd sacrifice for them if I was sure that it wasn't some
sort of scam. The seller Dotmusik doesn't have any feedback
one way or the other...

if i were the buyer, i'd ask to see scans of the inlays, for
one thing. it would be easy to detect the hand, or absence
of mike n marcus, i reckon.

why dont all of us chip in 5 bucks each, have it sent to
someone who can rip things with quality, and share them?
even if it turns out a scam, it was only 5 bucks

that's actually a rather low price compared to other
rarities of the like.

if it is real.

I sent mail to the seller asking for some sort of
verification. We'll see what comes of it, I suppose.

if it's real i might get the catalogue 3.... by biggest
reservation is that BOC will likely re-release these in the
next 5 years

yeah why not. whoever organizes the project should get the
master. cuz it'd be a pain in the ass. or whoever does the
ripping to CD/mp3

im in for $5 and i can rip and remaster,,, but i think the
tape should go to some muesum of sound or something... and i
think we should just listening parties for the tape(s) not
file sharing. If it is anything like the BoC want, we should
respect there wishes about not having this out (yet, i hope)
either way i am in.

there's no way i'm paying any money (even 5 bucks) for a
listening party (i'm assuming that means streaming internet
radio type deal?). rip the shit to fucking WAV and put it on
an ftp just for us

Well update time!

Haven't heard anything back via email yet. However I was
browsing over at discogs thru the BoC listings and was
looking to see who claimed to have some of the rarer
material. I noticed a user named 'charliesbeats' claimed to
have a lot of them. See here.

This piqued my curiousity because on the seller's contact
page on GEMM, there was a reference to charliesbeats. See
here.

So maybe, just maybe, that increases the chances that this
is for real.
