Ethnic music / instruments

Oddioblender from from my own little phuqed up world on 2002-01-22 19:05 [#00073641]

I have an african thumb drum and piano... very interesting
and easy to play... can make a cool effect when you rub a
microphone across them!!!!

I'd love to have a koto or a glockenspiel.... i have a
xylophone though.

I LOVE traditional Japanese ethnic music (i won't just say
Japanese music because i know not all Japanese people listen
to that stuff and are VERY open minded about music) because
of the odd rhythms and times.

I love any ethnic music from east asia or from india /
middle east.

Sitars are BAD-ASS!! wish i had one.
Come to think of it, i think different areas of the world
were the inspiration for Brian Eno.. he wanted to create
music that took people places.

i play the didgeridoo. it's a blast once you got the
breathing down and can take you to wonderful places after
blowing on it for some time.
