if you have a car, dead easy. france and germany are pretty
big, from where to where do you need to go?

I am spanish.... so I dont know the train money rates in
germany and france.... but I am sure its expensive as hell

but think of this:

airplane - a lot more expensive

car - only cheaper if you go with more people so fuel and
highways are paid by 4 people, if you travel alone car is
very expensive

bus - this can be the chepaest option, but I odnt know if
there are bus trips between countries.... I doubt it unless
it is an organized travel

thats why I think train is the best possible option

ship is not possible between france and germany I guess

Some of those cross-country coach trips are quite cheap,
probably less than 100 euros. Dunno about between france and
germany though.
