Apart from the Jamie Lidell gig october 9th I haven't heard of another event in october. Anyone know otherwise? I was gutted that I missed the halloween event last year. |

This is the Closest I will get I think... amµnition album launch party @ electrowerkz – friday 17 october our undoubted highlight of the week is a huge three floored assault on your senses this friday night, courtesy of the very fine wheels instead of hooves crew in conjunction with high priests of splattercore, planet mµ records. a double celebration in fact as planet mu release their long-awaited amµnition compilation and wheels instead of hooves bit farewell after five years of putting on the baadest parties in london. the lineup is a pretty comprehensive selection of the best crazed jungle, electronica and leftfield hip hop around. live sets from µ-ziq, venetian snares, shîtmat (babylon ruuude bwoy), jega, chevron, the gasman, julian fane, datach’i amongst others and dj sets from luke vibert, remarc and bizzy b. the second room hosts the wheels instead of hooves meggarave soundsystem, a kind of best of wheels with all their homies from over the ages including buddy peace, zilla, tomp (warp), laurent nonchalant (rephlex), absorb hdj (absorb.org), musicalbear djs, john callaghan (warp), soze shadetek (warp, shockout, nyc), sheen (kyotoamencircle, berlin), kone-r (uncharted audio), gabba ranks (k.v.) and mikerak (kraked). dukeye, yellotone (ai), premier hoof and the ladies gift will be providing some much needed coherence in the third room. electrowerkz, torrens street (behind angel tube), london 10pm – 6am, tickets £12.00 (+ bkg fee) |
