Daft Punk - Homework

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-21 19:41 [#00073069]

This album sounds very cheap, and almost like cut up disco,
yet I want to keep listening... what's up with that?

Little Lord Faulteroy on 2002-01-21 19:50 [#00073076]

same here specially rollin and scratchin, alive, rock and
roll, burnin' hell all of ehm actually the new cd sounds
even cheaper though ;-)

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-21 19:52 [#00073078]

yeah I love the song High Fidelity... it's great...

AMinal from toronto, canada on 2002-01-21 20:42 [#00073116]

ya i love this album too
simple but good..

Narkotic from stupid american on 2002-01-21 21:44 [#00073151]

its dancy, and catchy...

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2002-01-21 22:04 [#00073170]

Homework was good, the new one, which I also have is
garbage. Its just funky.

digidogheadlock from under a rock on 2002-01-21 22:50 [#00073238]

i've sampled homework and another of thier albums. i didn't
really like it. just seems like simple happy loops. daft
punk was used on a GAP clothing commercial.

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2002-01-21 23:04 [#00073246]

So? Aphex Twin's music was in a commercial, but let me guess
that makes it ok because its Aphex Twin? Gimme a break.

Kalaim Badkaama from France on 2002-01-21 23:25 [#00073271]

The first of their album was awesome. The unrealeased live
is fuckin great.
The last cd is a crap compared to the first.

digidogheadlock from under a rock on 2002-01-22 03:05 [#00073339]

reflex, i'll give you a break from being a dipshit this
time. you read into things to much. i gave my reason why i
didn't like thier sound ("simple happy loops") and i added
the commerical part cuz i thought it was funny to hear Daft
Punk on a GAP commerical, that has nothing to do w/ me
liking thier sound. and actaully afx muzick has been used in
multi-commercials, the funnest being an us anti-drug one...

Spasticmatt on 2002-01-22 03:34 [#00073341]

dunno why everyone hates their new album..i love it as much
as the original...its happy and funky, fuck if i care if it
goes toward the mainstream..

Bogus on 2002-01-22 06:29 [#00073380]

discovery is a great album... of course is not an album that
you would like to play and listen when you're alone. or you
might but not that often

JOB on 2002-01-22 06:38 [#00073381]

daft punk is like 2+2

aphex is like 2+2.5*pi-2**177/33 all over infinity

Kalaim Badkaama from France on 2002-01-22 11:50 [#00073453]

Job is fucking right. even if daft punk is more like 4+4...

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2002-01-22 12:48 [#00073497]

digidogheadlock: read into things too much? well then why
dont you explain yourself more, your in a messageboard where
people read each others comments and opinions, it would only
make sense for someone to read "into it more" than you
thought, if only youd explain it more.

Chri5py from UK on 2002-01-22 12:51 [#00073498]

It doesnt matter though kalaim and JOB, I still like it...
less can me more and is proven it is in many things. Variety
is the spice of life remember

; )

sinusjog from Audiogalaxy on 2002-01-22 13:01 [#00073505]

Well my love right now goes to

"la la la, la la, la, la la la, la la, la la, la, I just
can't get you out of my head, boy your love is all I think
about..."

she rocx !

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-22 13:47 [#00073517]

yeah, you don't need super intelligent music all the time...
sometimes you just don't want to have to think too much
about what you're listening to...

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-22 14:08 [#00073523]

I love this album... it's very fun, and good all the way
through, which is what I was hoping to get out of a record
like this... plus, I can hardly sit still when I listen to
it...

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-23 14:57 [#00074064]

Revolution 909 has gotta be the most infectious dance song I
think I've ever heard... the beat is amazing!!!

Mutant Death Pengwin from Medicine Hat on 2002-01-23 15:05 [#00074067]

so, do most of you dislike daft punk just for the fact that
it is dance?
and i love homework! its a great album! their latest
wasn't great but i liked the super funky ones the most.
arg. i can't stand it when people don't like music just
becuase it is in a genre they believe is crap.

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-23 15:12 [#00074070]

I love it... it's a great, funky, get up and shake your ass,
dance album... I really like it... simple, yet effective...
