i just got the original version of reaktor 4 session, and i
can't get the cpu load beneath 50 % with just one synth !!

if i speed it up to much it crashes imediately... how to
decrease it ??

get a fast computer.

not trying to be smart... its just that reaktor can be a CPU
hog, and with session, it DEF is, because the premade
ensembles are huge.

the only thing that might help a little, is turn off any
switches for paramaters you arent using (if there is an
on/off switch for them).

That should be plenty fast. I have a 2.4 gHz P4 and even the
craziest huge ensembles only use 20-30% CPU.

Are you using a cracked version? Maybe your crack is
showing.

you could lower the samplerate. that usually helps allot.

Some sound cards offload their processing onto the CPU like
cheap modems but I thought that was just for wavetable
midi... I'm using an M-audio 24/96 card, works great on my
system. 512m of RAM, Windows 2000, priority set to
background processing, other than that nothing special. Do
you have Reaktor's sampling rate bumped up extra high or at
44100?

learn supercollider. The most efficient sound app.

44,100 kilohertz sampling rate - that's CD quality and the
default for Reaktor. If you have it set higher it might be
eating extra CPU.

Reaktor is the best - she do inny thang, give you special
crazy fuck.

if you are using a sb 128 then that might be your problem. i
think there are alternative asio drivers for sb cards, maybe
you should try those...

Reaktor ever use a lot of our PC power. Yeah u can try to
use lowest samplerate. And they like to add some % when u
add new effect/module.
