My mates got an Audigy 2 Zs Internal Soundcard, but no
cable to conect to the joystick/ midi port so he can send/
receive midi data. Does anyone know if the cable suitable
for this model is a Soundblaster specific item, or is it a
generic cable suitable for use across a range of
soundcards?

don't use that cable.. the support for it is crap, and the
functionality is equal crap. I've never been able to make
that cable work properly on ANY computer.

Buy a usb midi-interface.
