I'd like some more electronic kind of dub. or dub
influenced.
I can't really stand that '70 kind of dub. can't stand
reggae in general. Don't know why though.

he doesn't like old dub either, apparently:

"I can't really stand that '70 kind of dub"

personally, i think people should just give it a bit more
attention, coz once you get into it it's awesome.

I've said it before and i'll say it again:

vladislav delay's last album is being played on radio live
right now...not as dubby as some of his other albums, but
really beautiful, and still very dubby.

I'm getting the feeling dub really isn't my thing.
I downloaded "Dub Trees - Nature Never Did Betray the Heart
That Loved" which is aight. but it doesn't really grab me.
I also downloaded Skatalites. that just made me laugh. with
their dub mixes of the james bond theme and stuff.

The only "Real" Dub (IMHO) is old school 70's dub;
everything else is dub influenced spinoff. Don't give up on
it until you actually hear the real stuff. Once again, I
direct you to the two albums I mentioned previously.

the skatalites aren't dub. they're ska. you knob.

who the fuck the dub trees are I don't know.

dub is basically reggae tunes remixed at the desk to make it
all minimal with loads off echo delay and stuff. try typing
"dub" into google and reading for about an hour.

...bloody kids of today... grumble...

OMG!!!! you don't dub trees????!!!! ahahahahahah you stupid
fucker. I guess you don't know anything about music. type
"dub trees" into google and read that for about an hour.

....bloody kids of today....grumble

seriously, I don't welcome your stupid elitist behaviour.
I know what dub is, you knob. was my question "what is
dub?"?. NO! I just asked for recommendations I wanted to
give the style a chance. but the traditional dub is boring
as hell so i asked for something dub influenced or something
more electronic. what I didn't ask for was a stupid fucker
like you to come in MY thread.

regardless of whether or not he likes the classic stuff,
there is plenty of idm related stuff that is dub, and there
is nothing wrong with him being interested in hearing more
of that... and so there's really nothing wrong with
answering the question accordingly...
