They could be best friends. In fact they might become best
friends. Or they might already be. And then they will go
out drinking together. And queueing at the post office to
collect their weekly pension will be a lot less boring. And
then they can go and play bowls. And then they can go for a
pint of best. Then they can BIG EAch OTHER Up on the
interweb.

I love them guys...their cynical wit is nearly the only
humourous thing left on this board along with Sam's
occassional posts and Phobias little penis.

I'd find it frankly disturbing if previously you had sported
an avatar of Dennis Waterman wearing an OXO t-shirt, for all
sorts of reasons.

I still have my original single of "I could be so good for
you", if I had a turntable I'd probably put it on now, wear
a leather jacket and just my pants, and swagger about,
mystifying the neigbours even more than usual.

Great because, as I say, i don't have the turntable so you
know, a digital rendering, is great.

This is such a fucking great BOOZE ANTHEM.

but was it as good as 'the gaffer'?

offline dog_belch from Netherlands, The on 2004-09-05 18:09 [#01325747]
Points: 15098 Status: Addict | Show recordbag

"He's the gaffer...", there were far greater series and
theme tunes but everyone seems to recall The Gaffer. I will
hunt that down, I need the sad outro music from The Sweeney
too, which that otherwise excellent cream site seems to
lack.

Hey, the Gaffer's funkier than I recall.

You're lucky it's the palindrom-tastic word OXO on his
T-Shirt otherwise you'd have been up a sticky pole.

preffered the stagnant water their false teeth used to sit

Dad's home from the pub, what does he want? Hot ground Ox in
a cup.

I am trying to combat this relentless nostalgia I feel,
however when I watch the advert for the Triumph Accalaim
that they have on that tvark website, I know that the best
of times have passed.

it wasnt me that voted the vw beetle car of the century, so
it mustve been someone. i went for the fiat supermirafiori,
a genuis of an 80s deliberately underpowered piece of shit
that pretended to be able to pull a caravan with its mighty
1598 engine, and its 'overdrive' 5th gear (top speed 92mph,
compared with the 4th gear 98mph even though the revs were
higher), almost seemingly designed to get overtaken by
arctics on the M6 struggling to get up to 45mph on long
hills whilst at the same time arguing with your father that
even though nobody could see you, you stil felt completely
humiliated in the situation.

I bet dog-belch and earthleakage and ecnadniarb are really
charasmatic in real life, or something like that (some stong
personality trait...). I find that with whatever medium of
communication i'm using, I still come off as a boring,
annoying, self centered, kinda awkward kid.

It is though, if you put that on slsk as "Unreleased guff
vol. 3" they'd lap it up. I dowloaded what was supposedly
BOC the other day and it was the incidental music from "Look
around you".

Can I just add to the theme tune from "Sorry" the other
originators that Boc have clearly ripped off, namely:

Theme tune from QED
Theme tune from Robin's Nest

qed was more of a sting than a tune. btw if you don't want
some boc tunes that other people haven't got then don't
bother to ask me next time you're not on soulseek.

"sparrow_alpha-unreleased_boc_davesbirthdaytmixtape.mp3" and
release it into the wild.

Loathe as I am to bump this creaking chucklefest of a thread
but I believe this is the greatest thing I have ever read,
from the tv cream site.

"THE HITMAN AND HER
96kHz : 16 bit stereo
Cocoon, by Timerider, of course. This early Hi-NRG workout
conjures up not so much images of a sweaty Pete Waterman
than it does of a bloke called Clive in a blonde wig
bodypopping to the London Boys in Mr Smith's, Warrington.
Be'ave!"
