my sister wants to get a laptop. She is an interior designer and needs to run the program AutoCAD any reccomended brands/models? she is looking at the dell 9100 model... any help would be great! |

autocad is a powerhog, get her 1gb ram, or at least 512... does she want a lighttop, or can she have a beast-heavy laptop (desktop replacement)??? Is she going to be wakling around with it often, or mainly going to be perm. at the table. |

I hate how DELL writes their own HALs but hey, whatever...I'm pretty found of their laptops...they hold up pretty strong and im not too big on compaq/hp type laptops.... |

I would offer something more constructive but I don't know anything about computers other than how to initialise the power source to make it make that clicky sounds until the pretty pictures appear on the visual showing thing. |
