sony headphones suck

I just bought those big ones that fit around your ears, and
it sounds like you gift wrapped your head THEN put the
headphones on. I'm taking them back, my cheap aiwi ones are
way better.

i've gone through like 5 pairs of little cheap sony walkman
headphones in the last 2 years, and the ones i'm using now
are starting to go in one ear.

but i also have a pair of expensive ($100) sony MDR-V500
headphones for making music, and thoes work awesome!!

so i guess you get what you pay for or

tthha hthha that's why I wanted new ones too, the left ear
was getting slightly staticy sometimes. I did a little test,
I had 3 cdmans made from different companies and 2 sets of
headphones, (the cheap aiwi and the 20 dollar sonys), and
the best result was the cheap aiwi headphones with the aiwi
cdman. I wanted to see if like, sony designed headphones
worked particularly well for sony designed cdmans, and aiwi
for aiwi etc. but the cdman didn't make much difference, the
headphones did, I used the intricate album crunch song 13 to
test it. I wonder what those 100$ ones sound like...

I've always bought Koss headphones and have always been
happy with them.

BlatantEcho on 2002-01-21 08:12 [#00072832]

sony makes kick ass everything it seems, EXCEPT headphones.
Had mine for 2 months, now only sound out of one ear. ARG

Went out and picked up a pair of Koss ones, very
comfortable, and reliable so far.

Sony almost head to toe, minus the ears.

I've had probably 5 headphones in the last 2 years, they're
all Sony. Not that they're cheap, but I'm quite rough with
them. Only 30 bucks each, I don't need anything really
expensive.

Exxailon from NL on 2002-01-21 12:53 [#00072937]

for real quality, buy a pair of $ 150,- Sennheiser
headphones that'll give you an orgasm

I'm using a Sony MDR-? headphone for about 4 years and I
still like it.
Never had a problem and it fits like nothing else.

BTW Beyer Dynamics have got the real good shit! (pro
headphones)

Monoid on 2002-01-21 15:49 [#00072978]

Anyone know of any good *cordless* headphones that have a
sound quality comparable to non-cordless (traditional)
ones?

I say some really nice cordless ones for about £80, but I
doubt they're as good as corded ones.

BTW the way they fit weight is v. important to me as I
dislike heavy/uncomfortable/overly tight headphones.
