I just noticed that at 5 seconds before the end of "dedicated loop" by Square pusher there is a "right?" which sounds uncannily similair to the "right?" in between the noises of the door slamming at the star of Aphex Twin's "Cow cud is a Twin". Sorry if this has been noticed before, but I didn't know about it. If I was better I'd get the wave of each in cool edit and check to see if they're identical. What with the "Come to Fucking Daddy" in one of his other tracks mr. squarepusher seems to copy a lot of rich's stuff (I know they're mates). |

Ceri, I noticed that too... the RIGHT sounded very familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it. It's the same ''right'', I bet. Is Richard REALLY Squarepusher? Eh, probably not... |

i always took "come on my selector" as a pisstake on richard... the title is like "come to daddy" and the aforementioned lyric (rare in squarepusher songs at the time) was something equally silly: "i'm the fucking daddy!". this was furthered when cunningham did a huge music video for it, perhaps sending up the slickness of the come to daddy video. and finally, this song was perhaps squarepusher's biggest hit until "my red hot car", like "come to daddy" was aphex twin's biggest until "windowlicker" (arguably). just a theory. but anyway, yea, definitely a direct reference. |

Of course Squarepusher and Aphex are the same person. I thought everybody knew that. That "Tom Jenkinson" dude is just some guy that Richard knows, who helps him out with interviews and such. Phew! |
