I agree. I have Reaktor Version 3 and 4 here. But you can
kill verry fast your CPU with that tool.

Check out the manymood synth from the (now free) R3 premium
library. It doesn't use much CPU and it has a massive analog
sound. Quite nice. I also love the wilderbeast synth in the
user library - wonderful spacey patches.

Of course you'll want to check out pretty much everything
wildman Didier Leboz has programmed. Nutty stuff.

If you want to do some sequencing entirely within Reaktor
check out Trash80's Caterpillar sequencing and mixing
environment.

Try Tuareg2, www.brambos.com/ and get userbanks from
www.threechords.com/hammerhead/userbanks.shtml, it is a
"crazy ass" drum machine.

Leboz's "Ouzo" ensembles are neat - there's a few of them.
Also see the Chimaerandom he did in collaboration with
Rachmiel. Goes well when gated with his GatorFX effect.
GatorFX has a table-based sequencer macro that can be easily
spliced into your own instruments.

For drum machines, you're in luck - people have been posting
loop slicing and manipulating tools lately. There's the
Fourtechre, Squaretechre and some others. Look through
what's been posted in the last couple of months.

They're in the user library - search for phil durrant.

Juicy new pay-ensembles coming bwoyyyyyyy, worth the money
if only for the cleaned up Metaphysical Function with (one
hopes) decent documentation...
