So... Drum And Bass. Yeh.

This track is quite amazingly fine, very minimal and very
subtle but very rump-shaking also. It's like richie hawtin
built a time machine, went to japan in the year 2050, then
came back with a tacky tourist-sword and D'n'B message for
mankind. Awesome.

"ni Ten Ichi Ryu" - name of the two swords techniqoue
invented by Musashi Miyamoto, the finest samurai of ancient
Japan. the proper meaning - "Techniqoue of Two Worlds".
Musashi waas one unbeaten man in hostory, in official
chronicles he has over 70 fights noticed, he won every
single of them. he died as an old man, but before that he
wrote a book called "Go Rin No Sho', which can be translated
as " The Book of Five Rings". in the book he explained how
to act like a samurai, how to lead proper life, and , in the
last chapter, he wrote about "Ni Ten" techniqoue, and how to
end and win a fight without using a weapon.
To this day no one can use this technique, tho there are
some chronicles where you can finc some aspects of it - yet
its not the full concept, and probably it will stay in this
shape.
Nowadays, besides martial arts school, the "Go rin..." is
used in big companies interested in selling/purchasing as a
practice book.

Photek has strong connection to martial arts, therefore some
of his works have connections to these arts - on Modus
Operandi one track inspired by ninja warriors, called "The
Fifth Column", on second album track inspired by Kurosawa
film "seven samurai" and titled like the film. Photek havs
also a dog, which is called "Yoshimitsu" after one of
characters from another Kurosawa film ( photek didnt said
which one ).

"Ni Ten Ichi Ryu" was released on vinyl as an EP, it has
white cover with 3 Japanese ideograms which means exactly
"Ni Ten Ichi Ryu". The EP is very very raren owadays.

The guy who played the samurai in the clip can be also
noticed in film called "Samurai Fiction" - a comedy about
samurai adventures. In the film the guy is fighting with a
sword, yet hes doesnt use "Ni Ten" technique - it was used
only once, for clip purposes.
