"Collapse of the Wave Function is the new mini album from
DMX Krew aka Ed Dmx.

It's quite simply, different from anything else Ed has ever
done before, but still recognisably DMX Krew."
[That is, it still sucks a whole lot.]

rephlex should look at their out output over the years, have
a good long laugh and then go out of business.

release called "Rephlexions"

Rephlex bashing is still popular is it?

Kids.

There have been some excellent Rephex releases (a lot
actually). Ed DMX has has released some good tunes, and
when I finally get to hear the new album I will listen to it
and make my mind up WHEN I HAVE LISTENED TO IT.

tolst your idea is a good one.

heart will see this topic and do something about it.

the collapse of the wave function 1+2 eps are funny and
quite good. i hope the LP is even better. The Cylob sound
system 3000 1+2 eps are the best stuff he's done except
lobster tracks, so rephlex are doing well imo

Rephlex helped shape this music. They're still finding new
styles, some of which might not be to everyone's taste, but
the point is that they're releasing records they like rather
than records they're hoping willl sell loads.

As far as I'm concerned, more labels should be like Rephlex.
I realize though that it's quite hard to Intelligent Dance
to Grime. You've actually got to loosen up and enjoy it,
which can be challanging, eh?

Though I prefer Planet Mu. But Rephlex is still rocking.

Anyone here like Zig & Zag? Mr Blobby's fucking rinsing at
the moment too. Fucking can't get that bass hook out my
head, man!

it's wonderful for them that they have shaped "this music"
(whatever that is), but I have not heard one record of
theirs I liked. that's why I came to that statement. and I
stand by it.

"I realize though that it's quite hard to Intelligent
Dance
to Grime. You've actually got to loosen up and enjoy it,

sigh.

people always seem to have to revert to that kind of
anti-snobbery statement when you say you don't like Rephlex.

they should reissue some titles like Bogdan and of course,
older stuff, i still see high prices for some CD's in eBay
:(

ah yeah, they should release some aborted albums

also they should do an state of the art website with
complete discography pics and samples, also collect and put
some pics and interviews over the years, that would be nice

don't know why there is this rephlex bashing here . they're
fucking amazing for the last couple of years releasing some
brilliant stuff, really pushing the envelope and going far
beyond idm or whatever
that victor gama was brilliant and so is the bug dj scud,
the last 2 cylob records, black devil, the grime record and
kerrier district. Just cos it's not all mental and
complicated and noisy etc doesn't make it bad .
looking forward to the 808 stuff, thats another one newbuild
was a classic and so was eurotechno

rephlex should carry on releasing the stuff at the moment,
but also release some music, which is good. A lot of people
seem to like Kerrier District, the new Cylob stuff, TIK TOK,
collapse of the wave, etc
But its not my cup of tea.
It seems a bit too artificial to me. I would call it
'laptopy'.

Some abb3 style stuff and a new tango n vectif would go down
a storm (at least with me).

So basically, rephlex should do a series of things where the
idea is. no laptop. use a 4track or whatever, grab the dusty
ms20, dig out the rolands and oberheims and make some
excellent electronic music, to go with the laptop music.

to be fair, laptops didn't exist when tik & tok and black
devil were made

lthe diversity or their releases is a large part of their
appeal for me

home made program: cylob music system 3000, screens

ok use analogue gear and make it sound good as well.
seriously though. I don't really care. Its upto them. I make
music how I like it, so I can't be a hypocrite and tell them
what to do.

I just wish someone would make some radically new music. I
was thinking earlier a lot of stuff could have been done in
'97 and not 2004, but thats not just rephlex. the other
problem is the vsnares 'create song' algorithm for random
bleeps which is appearing but is getting less and less
apealing with each new release from more and more artists,
but again not just a rephlex issue.
To be fair the output from rephlex is still good, and
looking at the back catalogue, a lot of it I find so-so.

Ragga/dancehall releases aren't really braindaince

@crazone
why should't this ragga/dancehall mash up (name it
Soundmurderer & The Bug, etc) could't be definated as
Brindance ??

soundmurderer & the bug are completely different styles. and
rephlex can definate it as braindance because they invented
it.

me...it literally makes my head hurt.

as for soundmurderer; i'd call it jungle, but nothing's
wrong with that, it's a great music to dance to.
