So i cant get the optical mouse i just bought to work on my pc
Ive got win xp The mouse is usb plug and play
The problem i have is that the mouse is not responding properly
it only moves a few centimeters at any one time Ive checked the mouse pointer settings and i cant see any problem with it (moving slow etc) nothing
Anybody have any idea what i can do?

hook up your old mouse again, i had the smae problem and this worked best for me

I purchased a optical wireless mouse, and had a few probs with it at first.
I used a dark coloured mouse mat, that helped.
