mate. thats pretty fucking good. nay, it IS fucking good. seriously, that doesnt sound amateur at all. i loved that. there are influences there, yes, but it doesnt really sound like anyone else, very fresh (can't comment on the resemblence to early autchre tho). a lot of amateur stuff is listen once; forget. this is just awesome. btw thats not meant to sound ass-kissing, even tho it does :-/ |

Just started listening, and so far I love it! The drums and the percussive sounds around them are amazing! They set a nice groove that helps push the song and its melodies into greatness! The cello around 3:20 sounds great the way you've tweaked it.. what did you do? Now, I've finished listening, and I still love it! I agree with everyone else that said they'd buy albums from you, so maybe you should think about going into business?! |

Yes be proud - it is good > well produced and with good production and compositional aesthetics > In terms of critique I have two points > alot of the sounds are well choosen - but i found the pipe/flute sounds at 1min 20 too generic - something more messed with / BOC here might have updated this.... The beat is good with some nice rattles and stuff but feels a little ploddy after a while... like you found a nice 16 bar loop and stuck with it throughout.... i wanted a change of gear or diff emphasis to come in.... |
