from our intranet: To bring you up to speed, on the new Bandwidth Upgrade Project (Aquisitions Upgrade). At 1am on Monday 2nd August there will be an upgrade made active that will update 75% of Cable Modem customers to have increased bandwidth. i.e. 150kb/s becomes 300kb/s 600kb/s becomes 750kb/s 1Mb/s becomes 1.5Mb/s (Please note this is only the downstream bandwidth that is changing, not the upstream levels which will remain as they were). The solution has been trialed over the 27th and 28th of July and has passed with no issues. Not all of the Cable Modem network is able to support the upgrade at present but work is in progress to provide the solution to all areas. 80% After 4 weeks 88% After 5 weeks (Further timescales to be provided in the near future) |

**update** Speed Update The programme team have confirmed:- As of 4th August 46% (529K) of our customers now have the new speeds increases. Networks have reported no major issues with the launching the new speeds. Forums are reporting positive news from customers regarding the speed increases. No call drivers have been captured via Hot pots or by talking with Associates and Team Managers. (last bit means that no problems have been reported via customers calling) |
