As you may or may not know,for the past few months I have extensively been working on 3 demos for 3 different labels who had got in contact with me. On top of that I was working on some of the best work ever for my good friends AUD-STIM, POST UNDER, and PistolDiscos net label NWRecords. ALSO I was working on my entry peice for the east coast experimental music festival,and had been recording some bands on the side for a little extra cash... One day the computer was running low on space, so I figured I should buy an 80 gig and install it. Long story short I fried the 40 gig (with like many gigs of stuff on it [15 albums of my stuff that is unreleased,bands I was in the middle of recording, ALL THE DEMOS I'VE BEEN SLAVING ON, and on top of that personal pics,phone numbers, addresses etc]) and now I have a whole lotta nuthin. Like any of you care, there is going to be further delay for a little bit with new Fadtunes,I'm planning a big move (From Moncton New Brunswick to Montreal Quebec) and I got all this other stuff going on in my life right now, but I had a fantastic idea which I would really really love to see happen! In the wake of all this rebuilding due to deletion, I stored ALLLLL of my backups on this new 80 gig harddrive (GIGGGS of old tunes, basically everything!), then started to go through older songs,frigging around with them,remixing,etc. Then I thought "WOW! I should .rar some of these and get my music buddies to remix some of my stuff!" So yeah, I'd love get a remix thing going. I can supply allll the wav files,the rars would range anywhere from 50 to 500 megs. I can set up stuff, like cut down the sizes (send the key samples of songs) and well anything else that would make your music making lives a lot easier. I'd looooove to get some remixs from you guys. I guess what I'm hoping for is not so much a REMIX (like stupid remix, you know what I'm taking about...) but like a different take on the song. Like if your in a band and want to do a punk cover or something of like Magazines, or if you want to do a house version of super side scrolling action or whatever, knock yourself out. Whatever you feel like doing do it. What I don't want to see is a song that resembles nothing and is just a track you had already been working on, I fucking hate remixes like that, you know what I mean? Like "This contains absolutely nothing that is in the original song". I can't think of anything of hand, but I'm sure you all know what I'm getting at. Be creative and put some effort into it. So yeah if anyone is interested, send me off an email with all the information you would like to know, I'll try to send get like some gift certificates or something, just to make it worth your wild, but yeah I don't know right now. Yeah I know, some of the labels that e-mailed me were awesome too : ( I was pretty smoking pumped, but like whatever I can sit around and cry about it or just start over again and rape some faces with new tunes. |
