I woke up this morning and recorded my new guitar song.
Excuse my singing.

Hahaha it just finished.. that was cool! I liked the 'some
place bettAH' near the end, topped it off nicely.

Some Place Better

Well you know that I wanted to be with you,
You know, I waited by the door,
But you, wanted some place better,
And I fell upon your empty footprints.

Well you know that the truth is always with you,
You know you can't escape my eyes,
But I don't know where to look,
And I'm blind from searching for you.

So come back to me, be the man
I always dreamt you would be.
I don't care, just as long as I feel you again.

You were bad to me, how can I
survive like this?
I can't exist, until I feel you again.

that would be awesome - just sing 'AHHH' on the A above
middle C and it will sound great.

Its okay. I'm not one for "love/I miss you" songs. Needs a
bit of cleaning up production wise, not that I absolutely
have to have every track that I listen to be professional
studio quality with mastering, but theres some clipping
issues and little things that would help.

that's a pretty bad song, sorry Paul.. nice to hear you sing
though.

I quite like the lo-fi, demo-feel of the production.

the line "And I fell upon your empty footprints." made me
laugh. I think it's the word 'footprints', but I don't
really know why it made me laugh.. mm.. :)

I like your voice a LOT more in this song than your last
one. Better inflections. The chord progressions are a bit
wonky at times, though, particularly during the little
''instrumental break''. Not a great song, but I love your
vocals here.

i had to look up 'wonky' on merriam webster.

i've downloaded it but have not listened yet.

It's about my father leaving when I was five - I'm glad it
caused you amusement, Alex.

i like it, paul. i do agree that a slightly higher
production quality would really help it out a lot.

it's more about the choice of words, but now you mention the
meaning, it does raise the hilarity immensely!

If I had an expensive recording suite then the production
quality would no doubt be slightly higher. I am glad that
you liked the song John thanks for listening.
