...working morning shifts at a fast food joint. nothing
fancy, but it sure beats being broke, plus i still have
nights free. what are you others doing for money right now?

Lenscrafters making glasses.

I'm working on a few songs about myself. Working in a mall
and making glasses. Amongst other things like falling in
love with the Auntie Annies Pretzel girl. Expect an LP
release.

Congratulations = )

Coincidentally, I started my new job today working as a
luggage handler for Princess Tours, the world's third
largest cruise ship corporation (I think). I'm exhausted yo.

Being unemployed and depressed

four powerful words.
the depression is probably there to stay, but get a job.
even if it's doesn't coincide with your low ambition and
general feeling that everything is hopeless/worthless... it
may spruce things up inside that dark endless pit of your
own making. The feeling of being trapped in a sleeping bag
and beaten to death with a baseball bat may still linger,
but a job at least sheds light onto other areas of endless
doubt: The working mans fuitile struggle to make a buck.
and who knows, maybe one day you could write a book. Here,
I'll give you the title, "My Internet Saddened Life Is The
Product Of Countless Gross Disillusions About The Female
Species, When In Actuallity They Are A Strong Being And Can
Stick With A Man Even In His Most Pathetic States." One
strong women is all you need sir...

you seem to be the side effect of your depression.

never done fast food, never will, but i've had these
wonderful jobs:

janitor
box factory worker
market surveying (call center)
parking attendant
and now i'm currently a package handler at fedex.

i'm tired of shit jobs

Fast food, hmmm... not something I'd want to do, but you
gotta do what you gotta do.

I'm not doing anything right now, I'm just listening to
music and playing video games for a living. Absolutely
wonderful. There's so much to do, I don't have time to work.
But I'm looking at a new call center across town, it's
supposed to be a cushy job, and I have experience doing that
bullshit. But I'm going to hold out as long as I can.
Everytime I work, I get horribly depressed and start
thinking about how badly life sucks, even if it's a sweet
job like the last two I had.Something's wrong in the 'ol
head factory.

I'm still a student for another year, atleast.
Afterwards I want to travel, but I won't have any cash!
So what should I do?
If I get a job I won't be able to travel for several
years...
hm... I am on to something, but I don't know what!!!!?!?!?!

Civil Duty.. i'll go back to studying, hopefully with a job
in addition afterwards... maybe I'll sell my body...

I mean, if I get a good job, I'll probably have to work
there for a while before I can go on a holiday...
and I'd love to be out for 1 year or so... e.g. work or
study abroad.

haha wtf?

btw what is civil duty?
if I'd translate it to swedish it'd sound like something
you'd get as a penalty (instead of e.g. prison or a fine)

i've got a decent job at the moment, but i have certainly
gone through my ups and downs. i've worked fast food, i've
worked retail, and i've gotten laid off from two good
technology jobs. i wish i could go back to school, but i
don't think i have what it takes to do that in my current
situation, i.e. determination, so i guess i figure i'll just
work my way up on the job.

congrats though, oddio, cause not having a job is
almost always worse than having one.

I'm a student, and will almost be finished my degree thank
goodness... I'm currently on a work term in Holland... going
home on thursday and then I have a month off... I have a
part time job that I might be able to get, but I think I'll
wait till September before I go back there! :)

HAHAHA!

No, it's, like, an option to the regular army duty... I work
for an organisation that helps raise the educational-level
in tibet.. a friend of mine works at a childrens-school, and
my brother worked at a chartiy-organisation.. instead of
running around in the woods, doing no good, spending
4billion kroner per half year on shooting lead into
sand-piles...

ah yeah, now I know what you mean.
I thought you were older, that's why.

oh, yeah.. I should be in when i was 18, but when i
applied for civil-duty, it took longer for them to call me
in... so I started much later than the regular-army
people... I'm done in november, I think...

colon polyps. so it's sort of just down the road from where
you work, oddio...

i worked in fast food all throughout highschool, it has its
ups and its many many downs...

now i work as a ip relay operator, making telecommunication
accessible to people who are deaf, hard of hearing, speech
impaired, nigerian, or 14 years old and bored.

I've worked two fast food jobs, one at Burger King, and the
other at McDonalds... Burger King wasn't half bad actually,
cause the people I worked with were cool, and the restaurant
wasn't vrey busy most of the time (it since close down,
hence why I left)... McDonalds just sucked... it was busy
all the time, and it was just horrible...

congratulations!
I too have just returned to work after an enjoyable few
months of slacking. I really need the money too.
Job is as boring as fuck though. How did I grow up to be a
computer programmer???? I really used to think I'd become a
private investigator, and get into regular weekly
adventures.
