They arre not to be fairr. The past 3 orr 4 Wire Tapper CDs have been fan bloody tastic. Much betterr than Tapper 1 and the olderr Tappers. But the CDs arre often tasterrs frrom festivals and labels and so grreat all the same.

I've only been buying for maybe 9 months or so, but wire tappers 10 and 11 were just ridiculously good. When i have some spare cash i'll definitely invest in a subscription. The wire is my lifeline to information on good music.

Not especially. I like him, but no more than your average electronic/IDM type fan. Unless it was FSOL, I doubt anyone would point out a picture of an artist to me.

You were talking about Out There, not Outer Limits. ;) My album is reviewed in the Outer Limits section...
Second Thought: Purlieu (Second Thought; CD) 'Taking its title from the term for a stretch of land bordering the edge of a royal forest, Ross Baker's latest release shows the same conceptual boldness as his Rooftops project in which he recorded six different version of his favourite song. A 16 page booklet, containing overcast rural images of hedgerows and churches plus an existentially displaced first person narrative, accompanies this cycle of wistful instrumental sketches. Evoking the moist contours of a desolate nonexistent terrain, Purlieu does a thorough job of pacing out its boundaries and limitations. Birds sing, thunder rumbles and Baker's keyboards chime pleasantly in the distance, recalling memories of a time when all of this was just fields."

Wicked man, you got a review in the wire? I'd kill my grandma for that.
Also, noise fans should definitely get this issue for "The Primer" section.

Aye, I'm so happy. Online reviews and little zines are great, but getting a review in something like The Wire is just... well, I really didn't think I had much chance at all of even getting a mention. :)
And the noise article is very interesting. Good issue all in all. I think I'll start getting it again.

Yeah. The tree in my avatar and by the two songs is the cover for the album, so the tree tracks are from it (although the album has a few stylistic variations, so it's not all in the same style as those two)
The ones with the black and white squiggly thing are from my previous album, Twenty-Four, which in comparison, is a bit crap now. And there's a couple of other odds and ends on there as well.
