Haven been reencoding my CD's over the last few days since I got a MP3CD player and wanted to get the best quality possible out of MP3...
I know some of you already know about r3mix.net - a site dedicated to explaining how to achieve this... but I thought I'd pass on the link to you all as using their options has given me the best set of MP3s yet, To my ears they sound as good as the original CDs (something that can't be said for the majority of the MP3s out there).....Check out the site & give it whirl;I don't think you'll be dissapointed...The process is real simple as well, especially if you are using CDEX or (the prefferred) EAC to do your ripping/encoding..
The MP3CD player I picked up was the Philips Expanium 303 ... they've just released a succesor to this which displays ID3 tags so they've dropped the price of this model (It cost £99 in Comets...saw it for £150 in dixons)...I don't need ID3 tags & at this price I couldn't say no... Recommended!!! very nice having 150 hiqual Mp3s on one CD with no skipping & the best walkman earphones I've used in a long time...
