Who here has seen this ? What do you think ?

a reviewer on Amazon:

"Any moron knows Faces Of Death is 90% staged, fake and
boring gore. Traces Of Death is true coroner video and
things of the like, nothing in it is faked. So I guess you
could say it's for true gore fans....there is better, but
very very very few video's will gross you out more then
this...I'd recommend Scenes Of Death and Banned In America
if you're into this stuff.

All in all though, these movies will desensitize ANYONE from
what death is all about...if you can stomach the ride,
you'll probably look at life a little differently when
you're done."

in short: this sounds like a really bad idea.

"I love the five video set and am glad to see that it's
available as a collectors set. Please contact me with any
questions.

I am knowledgeable about embalming, autopsy and shock videos
and am happy to share information. There are bootlegged
Traces out there so you want to be careful, contact me
before you purchase Traces."

yes... I'll be contacting you reaaaal soon..

I'd rather you read the whole of your thread before
replying, or do you just post a toipic then attempt to OD on
cough sweets?

it's film and video of people dying and being seriously
injured to a speed metal soundtrack.

i saw it circa 1995, though it's not something i'm
interested in. individuals may enter with natural
curiosity, but will find an ugly, exploitative and antihuman
entertainment vehicle.

i think you won't learn much from watching, and what you do
learn will not serve you.

bad.

Well, I was kind of refering to what qrter had quoted from a
review where someone mentions the collectors edition... but
I guess you missed it whilst you were "jacking" another
strepsil.

Generally I would rather have ''breath of feces'' (aka
eat shit) than EVER watch one of these lame-ass gore
films. I've seen plenty of roadkill in my time, so basically
that covers all of the content of one of these videos (your
insides dont look too far different from that of a racoon or
deer or whatever), so yeah I feel confident that people who
watch these are extremely boring, fucked up individuals if
they watch it for any other reason than ONCE out of
curiosity.

I couldn't imagine a worse feeling than receiving in the
mail a BOOTLEGGED copy of traces of death and not a genuine,
collectors edition issue.. thank god for people like that
reviewer quoted above.. we need more people like him looking
out for all of us

back in the day it was called speed metal. anyway, to make
you happy i am revising my statement to "an awful, generic
death metal soundtrack." i realize "generic" is redundant
given the genre, but it fits. don't say i never did
anything for you, buddy.

the average evil-sleazy-death-video watcher is quite the
connoisseur, not settling for anything less.

"..hey.. wait a minute.. this soundtrack.. fuck! that's NOT
death metal!! FUCK!!"

I sort of want to see it.. the only problem is buying it
contributes REAL dollars toward it.. thus participating in
increasing the demand ever so slightly which in turn
contributes to people's desire to supply or make more of
such films (but I don't know if there's right or wrong in
making them anyway). Rotten.com is probably the online
equivalent. It can make you feel bad but in that way it's a
drug, just as all movies seem to be. They're taps into
whatever partular emotion you feel like feeling.

It does seem disrespectful to the dead though. If I knew
they wouldn't care (when they were alive) if many people
watched them dying, it wouldn't be so bad.

that's right. it's a video version of rotten.com, exactly.

some of the seedier rental places should have it. i believe
we rented it back in 1994 or something.
