the rio karma has a wheel. ipod doesn't even support ogg
(and wma, or so i've heard). but sure, ipod is nice but it's
way to overrated because it's so god damn "hip".

Aaaah. This is sooo great news. I actually went to the
Apple-store to buy an "old" Ipod, but the whole country
seems to be empty for Pods and Minis. Hope this new thingy
gets over here! Quick!

Maybe good for mp3 but you can't record sounds with a mic on
Ipod or can you?

£200 in the uk with a student discount for the 20gb
version, thats only £30 more than i payed for a second hand
2 year old ipod!

still, i'd like the 40gb version, which is £270, when i get
a graphics job that will be the first thing i buy :)

I will buy the 40gb now. And I have a friend who paid the
same amount for the "old" 20gb. He will be furious. The best
thing is the new battery, though

i might sell mine on ebay and get the 40GB ipod, i'm
tempted, it would cost me about £100 but i think thats
worth it to get double the hard drive, vastly improved
battery life etc.

i'm holding out for the 7th generation. i hear it's gonna
be able to predict future musical developments, and store
every song that has been or will be written.

plus it'll give free handjobs.

IMHO

"and store
every song that has been or will be written."

i think you'd need to wait for the 17th generation for one
with that much memory

It has better sound quality too.
