i have the new boc mp3s. they finally got talent! you wont believe it! but there was no pretty melodies, just really good music. oh wait, thats not boc. i keep on forgetting, boc is ONLY pretty melodies. |

There is (it is said) one track that is real because it was released as aone sided vinyl. The name of the file is not any of the track names and I can't remember what it is. Possibly has the word pomo in it, or something descriptive like that. |

Mutant Death Pengwin, your argument about "pretty melodies" is a weak one. Pretty melodies are very nice, and quite difficult to produce. By your logic you can state that all Beethoven and Mozart made were "pretty melodies." |

...and not all BoC is pretty. and if it were just the melodies that i listened for then i would be happy with a midi file of the melodies, but their unique flavor of production is delicious and nobody can come close to it. |

yeah, there is more then the melodies... I listen to the beats... sure they are simplier then Autechre or Aphex Twin, but they are still very hypnotic and cool... I also listen to the cool vocal snippets they use in their songs, and all the different sounds... they're awesome so far, and I can't wait for the new album... |

There is one person here who is posting under many names to diss BoC. Anyways, they rock. No need to get all bent about it. Check soulseek. Chances are, if you want to find someone with the mp3's, ask in the planet-mu messageboard. None of the IDM-MP3-trainspotterish types really visit here (it has a pretty bad reputation for being messy and off topic). If you find someone who has them, email me. I wouldn't mind getting a copy myself. I have stuff to trade, but I am rarely at a stable net connection right now. |

You know as a loyal V4 member, I really cannot stand the negative posts that get thrown up here alot of the time... BOC have to be one of the most talented and original electronic (downtempo) group to come around since...well lets see... Neil Tennant + Chris Lowe ( Pet shop Boys ) Emerson, Hyde, and Smith - (Underworld) Alex Paterson + Jimi Cauty (The Orb) The list could go on but wont. Before it gets called out Those duo references werent so much groups that broke through doing (downtempo elec.) They were all duo's that broke new ground in thier genre...And are sometime not recognized by the masses and are hated on... Somewhat like BOC on occasions here... |

soulseek is probably the best place to look for mp3s. confield appeared on soulseek like 6 months before the release date, drukqs about 2 months before release i think copying music is ILLEGAL! |
