i also did the same a few months ago. along with all the
Aeon Flux releases and The Maxx. I remembered seeing them
when i was too young to understand.

They are all great

im not sure, havnt seen it. The Aeon Flux guy also did one
of the Animatrix episodes. Its pretty easy to tell which
one, his style is pretty unique.

i remember watching all of these great animations on MTV's
Oddities, and some great little short films etc on MTV's
Liquid Television. I really wish they still had it on
television, i suppose they still (sometimes) have Eat Carpet
etc. SBS has some pretty interesting documentaries and a lot
of great films.

enjoy your The Head! its pretty hilarious. :)

Yes, that was good and aeon flux. I'd love to buy such
things but I am so freaking poor right now (but I chose to
be). I have 4-5 dollars a day for food. But I like the maxx
better than both (then again I saw the others so long ago
that I forgot how good they were). I actually found the
complete maxx (it's not that long actually, just a normal
movie length) used in some videostore.

didn't that series feature some work of some of the members
of The Residents? ... or maybe, i might be actually thinking
of some other mtv animation thingie that may or may not have
ever aired...

"In the early 1990s MTV created an unusual TV series
called Liquid Television. Liquid Television was a series of
short (one- to ten-minute) "alternative" animated films
which would appear between segments.

One of the shorts was Henry Sellick's Slow Bob in the Lower
Dimensions, for which The Residents wrote the music."

first hit on google..

I do recall that show.

"The Head" had an alien in his...head. Literally.

Other interesting animated features of MTV's final golden
days included Aeon Flux, Max (something like
that), and Cartoon Sushi.

Maxx's character was designed by Simon Bisley (possibly some
of the actual art too)... which automatically makes it
fucking amazing.
