Trevor Dunn is the bassist for Fantomas, and formerly the
bassist of Mr Bungle. And Trevor Dunn's Trio Convulsant is
the name of one band. I haven't actually heard them but I
have much respect for Dunn and I bet they kick ass.

trevor dunn's trio convulsant... i heard them play live a
year ago opening for tomahawk. actually, i just caught the
last half of the set. what i heard was sort of minimal and
jazzy. i think trevor had an upright bass. i don't
remember what the other two people played... it didn't
leave a big impression on me, but i didn't have the chance
to give it a fair listen because of the circumstances of the
evening.

"Dress Code
Dress to impress - no athletic wear, no sneakers, no hats,
no doo rags, no boots (including Timberland); the dress code
is enforced."

wtf? can you imagine if they tried to pull this shit at a
melvins concert? the sort of psychos who turn up would
probably burn the place down :)

God - that's ridiculous! Do you think they've ever listened
to the Melvins? Or seen their fans? Or seen the band
themselves?!?

live concerts.

i just found a recording of the exact trevor dunn's trio
convulsant concert that i caught the end of, and now i wish
i had been able to hear the whole thing. it's really,
really cool music! very jazzy, melodic, lots of changes and
moods in each piece. great stuff. now i think i'll get
their album.

i think i saw an add for that cd in the magazine

its says it goes from really jazzy to extreme in a matter of
seconds

kinda like older bungle maybe ? but ill probably pass, but
when i see him/them in sept, that might chyange my mind.
