I used to have normal icq, but that is like having an
elephant sitting down on your processor.

XP kept crashing and crashing and I couldn't figure out why.
then it turned out to be because of icq.. that program is
enormous, especially for what it effectively is
supposed to do..

oh god we have icq corporate edition at work, it's got to be
the worst program ever written. i honestly don't think a
day has gone by in the last two years where it hasn't

The only things that it lacks: aim direct connect, aim
sending files (you can receive over aim though), and
avatars, all of which are planned for development. Right
now it's version 0.3.3, the developers are always on the
forums, there's a nightly alpha build, it's on the up and
up.

i tried few and trillian seems to be the best

easily connects to where you IM buddies are

they are coming up with a new version called trillian astra
