laptops used to be worse, but now they are better. more expandable, really not much more expensive (the mobility is worth the small extra money you would pay), it's easier to upgrade, expand etc. they are win. |

Ok ok, I have consulted my own wonderful battered old dictionary that gets right to the most simplistic point without dicking around. washable: that can be washed without being damaged. It appears you are correct. But now the english language lacks a word that means "that can be washed (damage being irrelevant)". If I want to say that ants are capable of being cleansed using water or other liquid, but they will die in the process... I cannot say they are "washable". |
